icke med Heidenstams profetiska böcker, som äro apokryfiska.

statskyrkan, eljes som en rolig: s. k. paradox (= för tidig nyhet). --

I september läste Strindberg, som då befann sig på rundresa i Sverige i
och för studier till »Svensk natur», korrektur på romanen, som utkom
kort därpå.

Tryckfel och tryckeriändringar genomgående tidigare upplagor.
Då Strindberg upptog arbetet på senare hälften av I havsbandet,
återfordrade han från förlaget den del av manuskriptet han tidigare
insänt för att ånyo läsa igenom det. Han har vid genomläsning gjort ett
antal rättelser med blyerts. Emellertid ha även på förlaget gjorts
rättelser av formell natur med blyerts; i detta fall har man i denna
upplaga återgått till den ursprungliga texten. Oftast kan man urskilja
om handen är Strindbergs, i de fall tydningen är osäker, ger dock
rättelsernas art vid handen, om de äro av Strindberg eller inte.
