miért hazud előtte; de a leány könyörgött neki, hogy csak menjen ki,
mert ott van; az asszony kimegy, és látja hogy ott fekszik, akkor a
nyakába esett, és csókolták egymást, azután az asszony kérdezte, hogy
hogyan tudott oda menni? ő pedig elbeszélte minden esetét és fáradságát
a feleséginek. Ekkor az asszony bemegy a vendégek közzé, és azt mondja
nekik: Urak, nekem egy almáriomom vagyon, akinek a kulcsa elveszett, és
én újat vettem helyette, most pedig a régi kulcsot is megtaláltam: már
most itéljenek: hogy melyiket tartsam meg. Az urak azt mondták, hogy
mindig jobb a régit megtartani, az újat eltenni. Akkor mondá: Hát legyen
úgy, én a régi mellett maradok; mert én az én előbbeni férjemet
elvesztettem, és most megtaláltam. Akkor bevezette karjánál fogva, s az
urak látták, hogy oly derék ember, hogy abban az országban nem volt
olyan. Azután mind elmentek, ők pedig most is uralkodnak, ha életben
vannak.
